Gawler Chambers

Area Construction was contracted to undertake structural and facade restoration to this 1914 built State Heritage listed building. Works included rectification to building decay, removal of loose masonry that could cause injury to pedestrians, removal of two well established fig-tree saplings growing within open mortar joints and repairs to concrete lintels.

Negotiations with the Adelaide City Council required the temporary closure of car parks along busy North Terrace, with pedestrian safety a high priority.
